Abstract | Entrepreneurship is always challenging the status quo; it's an engine of human progress. We view Entrepreneurial Mindset (EM) as a pathway to improve upon the status quo and improve individuals, organizations, and communities and promote health, education, and prosperity. In this brief paper, we lay out the case for why EM is beneficial for engineering students as individuals, their communities, their companies, and their nations. We also address the case for systemic change by embedding EM in the undergraduate engineering curriculum. This vision sets the stage for cultivation of the specific attributes developed in the subsequent "What" volume, enacted in the "How" volume of this same series. (As Provided). |
