Abstract	Psychosoziale Beratung besteht aus den Aspekten "psycho" und "sozial". Folglich werden Klientinnen und Klienten in einer Beratung zur Problembewältigung auf beiden Ebenen angesprochen. Da psychosoziale Beratung nicht auf einer bestimmten Beratungstheorie beruht, hängt ihr Erfolg nicht nur von theoriespezifischen, sondern auch von theorienunspezifischen Wirkfaktoren ab. Beratungskompetenzen bauen beispielsweise auf den Faktoren Beziehungsqualität, motivationale Klärung, Ressourcenaktivierung, Problemaktualisierung und Hilfen zur Problembewältigung auf. Psychosocial counselling consists of the aspects "psycho" and "Social" so that clients are counselled with regard to both dimensions. Since psychosocial counselling is not precisely based on a certain counselling theory, its success is not only dependent on theory-related factors, but also on factors which do not correspond neatly to a specific theory. Counselling skills, for example, hinge on factors like the quality of relationship, motivational clarification, resource activation, problem activation and assistance in problem solving.
