Abstract	Es ist ein feststehender sozialwissenschaftlicher Topos, Migrationsfolgen entlang eines Defizitdenkens zu führen und dabei insbesondere Kinder und Jugendliche mit Zuwanderungsgeschichte als eine der Devianz und Gewalt ausgesetzte Risikopopulation zu sehen. Der folgende Beitrag versucht, etwas weiter auszuholen und dabei auf folgende drei Kernthemen zu fokussieren: Zunächst werden einleitend einige entwicklungspsychologische Befunde zu aggressivem Verhalten in Kindheit und Jugend skizziert. Daran anschließend werden die spezifischen lebensweltlichen Risiken und Gewaltbelastungen von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Migrationshintergrund erörtert. Abschließend werden dann einige Präventions- und Interventionsmöglichkeiten aufgezeigt und ihre je spezifische Relevanz für die Zielpopulation diskutiert. It is a constant topos of social science to reflect on the consequences of migration in terms of a deficit oriented approach and, in doing so, to perceive children and adolescents with a migration history as a particular high-risk group for violence and social deviance. In an attempt to give a more differentiated account, this article focuses on the following three core issues: firstly, it will outline some developmental psychological findings on aggressive behaviour in childhood and adolescence. Subsequently, it will deal with specific living environment related risks and types of violence experienced by children and young people with a migration background. Finally, the author will discuss some possibilities of prevention and intervention and their specific relevance for the target group.
