Abstract | To investigate pre-listening strategy use of Thai EFL learners, the pre-listening strategy use questionnaire and the listening quiz paper were administered to collect data from 48 Thai EFL learners. The quantitative data indicated that the participants were well aware of the strategy of finding out about the task and were certain of using it. However, the participants may not be well aware of the other strategies and may not perceive using these strategies at their best effort. The qualitative data seemed to indicate correspondingly. The findings of the present study can be used as springboard for listening activity design as well as for further research. (As Provided). |
