Abstract | This set of three modules was designed for use primarily to help teach and reinforce the basic mathematics skills in drafting classes. The modules are based on the needs of drafting students in beginning courses as determined by a survey of teachers across North Carolina. Each module consists of basic information and examples and problem sheets with the solutions on the next page. Also included is a glossary of drafting terms. A set of drafting competencies that require mathematics skills (as determined by a panel of drafting and mathematics teachers) is included. The three modules cover using numbers, scaled measurement, and basic mathematics, scale, and geometry applied to drafting and technical drawing. (KC) |
