Abstract | The primary purpose of the documentation operations suggested by the National Teacher Centers Program is to aid individual projects in gaining a more profound and analytical understanding of what is happening within their own centers. The mechanism for this is the development of a massive information storage system, based on data collected from separate agencies. This guidebook outlines a strategy for the implementation of a recording process for programs without diverting great amounts of staff time and/or budget. The suggested documentation techniques can be easily incorporated into a program's prexisting activities. The importance of a favorable climate (in terms of staff attitude), pitfalls to documentation, and sample research instruments are discussed. Methods for analyzing data reaped from the informational system and the program documentation are included. (LH) |
