Abstract	The study investigates the relationship between ethnicity and performance in selected AP courses for years 2001, 2005, and 2010. Data was collected from College Board annual reports for all 51 states and for subject groups Mathematics, Sciences, and Languages. Results show the evidence that there is significant achievement gaps among male and female students. In addition, AP selection and performance among different ethnic groups found to be skewed between majorities and minorities. Whereas Asians are found to be performing at higher success rates, Hispanics and Blacks showed slower but consistent achievement rate. Whites on the other hand, reported a decreasing AP selection and performance scores. Although the volume of students across all ethnic groups is increasing with every reporting year, the overall achievement scores are not increasing. The achievement gap among different ethnic groups, in both selection and performance of AP courses, is found to be significant.
