Abstract	What is the role of Swedish education and professions in the process of forming attitudes towards the EU among professionals. First, the opinions concerning EU membership are reviewed. The opinion polls show strong attitudes against EU-membership. Second, the internationalization of higher education is described, including four professions as examples: law, medicine, social work and architecture. There has been a considerable increase in the internationalization in many respects. Third, some conclusions are drawn on the sources influencing attitudes towards Europe and the EU among professionals. The professionals and their organizations seem to be reluctant to articulate attitudes towards the EU. Internationalization has been subjected to management in policy making and on administrative levels of higher education. (DIPF/Abstract taken from the original)
