The ten safeguards discussed include the right to: (1) Informed Parental Consent; (2) Written Prior Notice; (3) Decline Services; (4) Multidisciplinary Evaluation and Assessment; (5) Services in a Natural Environment; (6) Review Records; (7) File an Administrative Complaint; (8) Mediation; (9) Request an Impartial Due Process Hearing; and (10) A Surrogate Parent.
