Abstract	The four 1984 quarterly numbers of the journal include feature articles, techniques for teaching English as a second language (ESL), research summaries, and book reviews. The feature articles include: "The English Language Center at King Faisal University"; "English Language Training at ARAMCO"; "AlBank AlSaudi AlHollandi's Practical English Program"; "Correlations between Spelling Quizzes and Students' Examination Results"; "The Text and Its Message"; "Teaching English in the Context of Arabicization"; "What About the Student?"; "Teaching ESL at an English-Medium International School"; "Some Predictable Errors of Arab Students in Written English"; "Planning a University Language Center in Oman: Problems and Proposals"; "Teaching ESL to Arabic-Speaking Students Through the Use of Creative Dramatics"; "Designing an Effective Reading Lab"; "Self-Access in ESP"; "Common Problems in Teaching Writing, Spelling and Pronunciation to Arab Students"; and "Measuring Student Attitudes for Curriculum Planning." Techniques discussed include spelling tips for teachers, oral practice through grammar, making a three-dimensional model to scale as a beginning application of English, and picture-guided oral summaries. Two research summaries concern ESL spelling errors and problems faced by ESL teachers in Turkey. (MSE)
