Abstract | The methodology and survey instrument described in this report were designed to support the Library Learning Program for freshmen English students and identify the clientele of the library at Kearney State College in Nebraska. Surveys were mailed to on-campus and off-campus students. The low response rate--534 or 26.9% of the on-campus students, and 252 or 31.8%, of the off-campus students--was partially attributed to incorrect addresses and responses returned blank or marked "not interested." The questionnaire for the survey, which covers use of the library, instruction, locating materials, and helpfulness of collections, services, and personnel, is included in the report. Mathematical calculations and a table of tallies are provided for each question. (KP) |
