Abstract | This compilation of articles describes three projects aimed at offering students authentic opportunities to develop global competencies. The first article describes Out of Eden Learn, an initiative from Project Zero at Harvard Graduate School of Education. The project engages students in learning journeys that follow Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and National Geographic Fellow Paul Salopek as he walks around the world. The second article highlights a Project-Based Inquiry Global unit that connects students in North Carolina with those in China as they jointly explore water ecology. The final article tells about a collaboration between classrooms in Colorado and Belize that serves as both a professional development opportunity for teachers and a cultural learning exchange for students.
