Abstract | There has been greater attention in recent times on the outcomes of the education system so that the return on investments in education could be evaluated. It is measured based on tangible performance indicators and intangible students' outcome known as outcome-based education (OBE). Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia has implemented an OBE system as part of their initiatives in ensuring the alignment of the university curricula with the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) Standards. As part of the OBE process, the entrance and exit survey is conducted for every course to gauge students' achievements on the programme and course objectives at the end of their study in the university. This article will discuss the findings from this survey and its contributions in achieving the stated tertiary educational objectives in Malaysia. In addition, the article will provide suggestions in improving the effectiveness of the OBE implementation. (As Provided). |
