Abstract | This report is a graphic presentation of teacher and student information, revenue and expenditure data, test results, and other student outcomes for each public school district. The indicators in the district report reflect the increased student enrollment (594,326) and staff (38,290) in 1993, as well as the new cost accounting system used by the Oklahoma Department of Education. Achievement test scores have generally increased, while dropouts have declined slightly since 1990. A separate page for each district shows indicators in the following major categories: (1) teacher characteristics; (2) student outcomes; (3) student achievement; (4) student characteristics; (5) revenue sources; (6) areas of expenditure; and (7) revenues and expenditures on a per-pupil basis. Information is given in tabular form for 568 school districts. (SLD) |
