Abstract | This paper presents Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now's (ConnCAN's) fourth annual "State of Connecticut Public Education" report. In addition to ConnCAN's traditional look at the state of Connecticut public schools, this year's report takes a look at Connecticut's policy environment: namely, where it stands in the "Race to the Top." This report gives facts about how districts are performing, how well teachers are being trained, and how educational standards measure up to other states. Methodology of ConnCAN's School & District Report Cards are appended. (Contains 4 figures, 19 tables and 11 footnotes.) [Foreword by Alex Johnston. Introduction by Tori Truscheit.] (ERIC). |
