Abstract | In this article, the author reports on the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Conference which occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 29-April 2, 2011. There were numerous panel sessions to choose from, and the author attended "Fostering Library as Place for Distance Students: Best Practices from Two Universities." In this panel session, librarians Beth Filar-Williams, Coordinator of Library Services for Distance & Online Learning at University of North Carolina-Greensboro, and Heidi Steiner, Distance Learning Librarian at Norwich University, offered several practical and technical solutions for reaching distance education students.
