Abstract | The Collaborative Vision for Science and Mathematics Education (CVSME) is a loosely coupled organization that has improved communication and fostered collaboration between faculty in the colleges of Education and Natural Science at Michigan State University. The improved communication and collaboration is intended to improve mathematics and science teaching and learning from kindergarten through graduate school. The paper briefly describes the history of the organization, some of its accomplishments, and identifies characteristics that have both fostered and frustrated the collaborative work. (Author/CCM) |
