Abstract | Each edition of the IDRA Newsletter strives to provide many different perspectives on the issues in education topics discussed and to define its significance in the state and national dialogue. This issue focuses on Quality Teaching and includes: (1) Equity, Access and Excellence in Education for Immigrant Students (Abelardo Villarreal and Rosana G. Rodriguez); (2) Many Languages, One Nation: Valuing Bilingual Children (Rosana G. Rodriguez and Jose L. Rodriguez). Newsletter "Plus," IDRA's new web-based supplement to the "IDRA Newsletter" is introduced in the issue. Additional features include: Tools for Action; Highlights of Recent IDRA Activities; and Classnotes Podcast Episodes. (Individual articles contain references.) (ERIC). |
