Abstract | Identifies how the legal regulation of sex education in Great Britain incorporates conflicting problematizations of HIV/AIDS and childhood sexuality through constructing distinct categories within the curriculum and legitimizing distinct roles for teachers, parents, and health professionals. Explains why school-based sex education fails to be a primary information source for youth and identifies the urgent need for guidance. (Author/KB) |
