AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine students' perspectives of the Academic Assistant (AA) Model for Online Instructional Programs. The AA model was developed by a for-profit organization. The organization serves as a service provider of instructional support services to colleges and universities. The study was comprised of a sample population consisting of approximately 2000 students enrolled in Graduate Programs through a large scale online distance learning format. The students surveyed are practicing teachers and/or administrators from across the country. The students were sent a survey via Survey-Monkey. A Likert Scale based on questions administered in the survey was used to determine the perspectives of the students. Students were asked to respond to questions concerning communication (via email), quality of feedback, and grading practices (how quickly was grading completed). It was determined that Arkansas State University Graduate students in Educational Leadership programs were generally satisfied with the level of professionalism of the Academic Assistants. However, a percentage of students showed concerns in communication and relevance of feedback from Academic Assistants. (As Provided).
