Abstract | This study investigated the association between perceived stress and life satisfaction of Turkish college students. The "Satisfaction with Life Scale" (Diener, Emmons, Larsen, & Griffin, 1985), the "Perceived Stress Scale" (Cohen & Williamson, 1988), and a brief demographic questionnaire were administered to 235 college students in Turkey. The results indicated the students' scores on satisfaction with life scale were significantly negatively correlated with scores on perceived stress scale suggesting that overall life satisfaction of Turkish college students is adversely affected by college stress. In addition, we found that female students had higher life satisfaction than male students. (As Provided). |
