Abstract | This publication provides a basic analysis of data collected through the European Training Foundation's Key Indicators project. ... Part 1 of this publication provides a profile for each participant with background information and key statistics for interpreting the comparisons presented subsequently in the text. It also identifies the main aspects and trends in vocational education and training trends in vocational education and training. The country profiles were prepared in co-operation between ETF, National Observatories and the Country Managers. Access to and participation in vocational education and training as well as spending patterns on such programmes are reviewed in Part 2. As the process of enlargement will substantially modify the characteristics of the EU labour market, Part 3 looks at the main aspects of national labour markets. The annex provides the full set of data used in this publication as well as important information on the definitions and methods underlying these data. (DIPF/Orig.). |
