Abstract | Conclusions We want our future teachers to be able to access andevaluate lesson plans and other teaching resources from the Internet. Due to the nature of our methods courses, most of our efforts for these Internet sessions are focused on lesson plans. There are so many more valuable applications which preservice teachers need to incorporate into their basic skills repertoires. They need to access information about grants, educational games, research, assessment, and biographies, for example. More significant is that once they get that information, they need to evaluate its usefulness. The proficiency they develop in critiquing lesson plans from the Internet can be easily transferred to critiquing information from other resources. |
