| Abstract | Recently, two friends of the author, both from Malawi, Africa, graduated with doctorates in instructional technology. Each of their dissertation studies focused on aspects of diffusion of innovation within their home countries. As he read and reflected on their work, the author thought about the larger spectrum of dissertations related to educational uses of ICT across nations. Specifically, if one were to look over a given period of time, how many dissertations and theses have been done on technology in education on a country-by-country basis? In this paper, the author highlights the areas where professionals in the ICT field might be able to encourage the work of current and future graduate students. (Contains 1 figure.) (ERIC). |
