Abstract | This qualitative follow-up study examined life management strategies of parents of children with disabilities, who were originally interviewed in the mid-1990s. The purpose was to determine whether the life management strategies reported in the original study were consistent across almost a decade of time, and whether thematic content of life management strategies shifted across family and child life-cycle stages. Generally, thematic analysis confirmed that parent life management themes held constant across time and circumstances for the six interviewed mothers, with many of the strategies, found to be effective earlier, continuing to prove valuable in effective life management.
