Abstract | Data on 1,368 women from the National Longitudinal Survey-High School Class of 1972 demonstrated a significant positive association between number of female faculty and probability of female students attaining advanced degrees. The percentage of female faculty did not have a direct effect on postgraduation earnings, but advanced degrees had a large positive impact on earnings. (SK) |
