Abstract | Drawing on Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Critical Whiteness Studies, I use portraiture to analyze and vividly describe the subtlest of racial microaggressions proffered by white college students against Students of Color in College Algebra group work. In illustrating this racist abuse, this paper also builds on racial microaggression theory and scholarship from a CRT perspective in the college classroom. This article focuses on the experiences of Students of Color while spotlighting the racism through whiteness that they endure and resist. (As Provided). |
