AbstractIn this study, it is aimed to reveal the opinions of mathematics teachers about the future use of distance education. This study, which was designed in accordance with the case study, which is one of the qualitative research designs, was carried out with 42 mathematics teachers in the spring term of the 2020-2021 academic year. The data of the study were obtained from the answers given to the semi-structured interview form made with mathematics teachers. The data obtained from the research were analyzed using content analysis. As a result of the research, it is seen that teachers want to continue distance education for different purposes. Mathematics teachers who want to continue distance education; They want distance education mostly in order to be able to solve questions, to eliminate the deficiencies of the students and to repeat the subject. Teachers also stated that distance education can be used in online meetings, in communicating with parents who cannot come to school, in eliminating deficiencies that may occur due to disruptions in face-to-face education. In the study, it was seen that teachers who think that distance education should not continue, generally think that online lessons are not efficient for mathematics education and that a classroom atmosphere cannot be created in these lessons. As a result, the majority of teachers who have experienced distance education want to continue the new normal and later distance education in order to support face-to-face education. (As Provided).
