Abstract | This study explores a jigsaw-based learning method for collaboration on cloud platforms. We implement and test the method on a Masters course with 42 students from 17 countries. Regression analysis results revealed that the jigsaw method influenced individual learning in the group, usefulness of Google Classroom and slides influenced group learning, and cultural differences influenced collaboration. Collaboration also affected classroom community. Teachers can benefit from our findings by increasing usage of the jigsaw method and cloud platforms to foster learning through collaboration. Moreover, teachers can turn cultural differences into an advantage and help students enhance social connections. Moreover, improvements in collaboration could foster students' classroom community.
