Abstract | The essay explores the issue of globalization of literacy education research and offers a manifesto to ignite a commitment for a global eclectic for literacy education research. The manifesto's tenets are drawn from an interrogation of the current dominance of a Western-centric orientation, and from the interviews with postcolonial critics, indigenous sages, global and southern scholars.
