Abstract | The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of affect-based trust and cognition-based trust on knowledge sharing behaviour by adopting the theory of planned behaviour in selected universities in Malaysia. The research adopted survey method and a total of 545 participants from 30 universities. Multiple regression was used to assess the research model. The findings indicate that attitude and subjective norms had positive impact on both knowledge donating and knowledge collecting. However, perceived behavioural control had significant effect on knowledge donating while trust had significant effect on knowledge collecting. Practitioners should focus in developing a climate where academics will have positive attitude and subjective norms towards knowledge sharing as well as a climate of trustworthiness. (As Provided). |
