AbstractCybersecurity job roles and responsibilities constantly evolve due to technological advancements, complex infrastructure, and increasing cybersecurity threats and regulations. As a result, organizations require a highly skilled and experienced cybersecurity workforce in both the public and private sectors. Many colleges and universities offer cybersecurity programs, but these programs need to be updated to meet the demands of the industry and protect critical infrastructure at a national and organizational level. The disconnect between academia, the industry's outdated curriculum, and the theoretical nature of cybersecurity instruction are reasons cybersecurity programs need improvement. The present research aims to understand and describe the essence of cybersecurity clinics based on the health system teaching hospital model. Using a case study design, the research explores the applicability of the teaching hospital model to run cybersecurity clinics in universities that offers cybersecurity programs. The study categorizes current cybersecurity clinics and discusses their respective strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, the study proposes a new model, the "Cyber Teaching Hospital" model, as an alternative to the shortcomings of cybersecurity clinics.
