Abstract | The phenomenological study explored how effectively the MTSS process was implemented pre-COVID and post-COVID based on participants' lived experiences. The participants were educators with 10+ years of experience who shared their perspectives about the MTSS process before, during, and after COVID. The participant interviews revealed that many teachers were satisfied with the implementation of the MTSS process pre-COVID. Participants were frustrated with the implementation of the MTSS process during COVID due to the lack of parental participation and collaborative support. Participants acknowledged improvements in the implementation of the MTSS process post-COVID, but they also identified strategies that could continue to improve the effective implementation of the MTSS process. One purpose of the study was to consider the impact of the effective implementation of the MTSS process on the educational ecosystem. The collaborative nature of the MTSS team is explored to continue to improve the effectiveness of the MTSS process.
