AbstractBilingual education is a growing form of education in many areas across the nation, supporting the growth of both native and non-native English speakers through educating students in two languages. The dynamics and teaching experiences of a bilingual program are unique; thus, understanding job satisfaction as it relates to principal leadership in a bilingual school helped address a lack of literature. The purpose of this quantitative study was to determine the relationship between principal leadership and teacher job satisfaction and years of experience of teachers in bilingual elementary schools. Using a correlational research design, a survey was used for collecting information. The research questions and hypotheses for this study were based on an analysis of the relationship between the independent variable of the principal's leadership and the dependent variable of the reported job satisfaction of teachers. Seventy-three educators participated in the study. Participants were certified elementary school educators employed at a bilingual school for a minimum of 2 years. The research was conducted online using recruitment from social media sites for professional education organizations for bilingual teachers. A significant relationship was found between a principal's leadership and a teacher's job satisfaction in a bilingual elementary school. However, there was no relationship between a teacher's years of experience and job satisfaction in a bilingual elementary school. Future researchers may consider using a causal-comparative design to identifying potential causes for job satisfaction or dissatisfaction within a bilingual school. How teachers perceive the leadership of the principal relates to their job satisfaction, and student's academic success depends on teachers who are satisfied with their jobs.
