Abstract | The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools is the leading national nonprofit organization committed to advancing the charter school movement. This 2018 annual report shares many of the accomplishments achieved by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools for the year, including securing a record $440 million in funding for the federal Charter Schools Program, helping Mississippi and Alabama launch new high-quality charter schools, and winning precedent-setting legal battles in Washington state and Louisiana. The report shares the National Alliance for Public Charger Schools' federal, state, and legal accomplishments. The report contains the following contributions: (1) Delivering Federal Funding for State Partners (Terry Ryan); (2) Ensuring a Strong Start for Alabama Charter Schools (J. J. Wedgeworth); and (3) The National Alliance Helped Mark a Major Victory for Students and Families in Washington State (Patrick D'Amelio).
