AbstractThis manual is intended to provide you with the most current materials and tools available for the development of Maine's Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio (PAAPs) during the 2004-05 school year. The PAAP process, while very similar to that used in 2003-04, has been updated based on input from teachers and other training participants. The following sections are included in the manual: An Overview of the PAAP; Identifying PAAP Participants; and Planning, Implementing, Organizing, and Submitting a PAAP. Appended are: (1) Student Profile; (2) Bloom's Taxonomy; (3) Technical Considerations for Assessment; (4) 2005 PAAP Media Guidelines; (5) 2005 PAAP Media Guidelines Checklist; (6) Video/Audiotape Script; (7) Materials to Support the Involvement of Parents in Their Child's Alternate Assessment; (8) Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio Permission Form; (9) Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio Sample Parent Letter; (10) Frequently Asked Questions on Alternate Assessment: Maine's Answer; (11) PAAP Glossary of Terms; (12) 2004-05 PAAP Timeline; and (13) Sources of Information on the PAAP.
