Abstract | This document contains the course syllabus and 12 independent practice modules for an introductory college algebra course designed to develop student proficiency in the basic algebraic skills. This course is designed as the first of a two-semester sequence. Topics include operations with signed numbers; simple operations on monomials and polynomials, including one technique of evaluating expressions; factoring; algebraic fractions; exponents; and basic review of arithmetic skills related to fractions, decimals, percents and percentages.
