Abstract	The proceedings of a conference on computer-assisted language instruction include the following reports and papers: (1) a report on computer-related developments in speech research and their implications for therapy and communication; (2) descriptions of courseware and authoring aids for grammar and comprehension instruction and language practice in English, French, German, and Spanish; (3) a report on the plenary session; (4) a comment on the workshop; (5) a listing of current research projects in the field; and (6) a list of participants and their current interests and projects. The courseware descriptions include information about applications, necessary hardware, and accompanying materials. (MSE)
