Abstract | This course outline, the first volume of a two-volume set, consists of lesson plans for pre-employment laboratory training in general agricultural mechanics. Covered in the 12 lessons included in this volume are selecting tractors and engines, diagnosing engine conditions, servicing electrical systems, servicing cooling systems, servicing fuel and air systems, selecting and using lubricants and filters, servicing air conditioning systems, general servicing, painting power units and farm machinery, servicing and repairing small gasoline engines, setting up and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, and operating welding equipment. Each unit contains suggested procedures and activities, an instructional outline, transparency masters, and a list of references. (MN) |
