Abstract | This guide to the "Measuring in Metric" supplementary mathematics textbook is the modified version for the physically handicapped student. The material begins with a list of 29 student objectives. The booklet and student text limit exploration to the units of measurement for length, capacity, mass, temperature, area, and volume, with only the following prefixes considered: kilo, hecto, deka, deci, centi, and milli. The guide breaks down the student book by sections, with objectives, materials needed, helpful comments, special arrangement suggestions for students with physical disabilities, and ideas for other activities. In addition, the guide contains a metric game, a master outline of a box needed for one section of the text, a detailed list of supplies and equipment needed, three quizzes and a test, and an answer key to problems found in the student text.
