| Abstract | The costs of education per unit of Average Daily Attendance (ADA) are detailed in this two-part report for 70 California community college districts for the academic year 1979-80. Both Part I, which presents data excluding non-resident ADA, and Part II, which presents figures including non-resident ADA, begin with tables which rank order the districts from largest to smallest in terms of ADA. Subsequent tables rank order the districts in terms of costs accrued per unit of ADA for: (1) teacher salaries; (2) certificated salaries other than teaching; (3) classified salaries; (4) employee benefits; (5) reference books; (6) supplies; (7) equipment replacement; (8) miscellaneous expenses, including utilities, transportation, insurance, repairs, advertising, field trips, film rental, postage, printing, and equipment rental; and (9) total cost of education. Figures representing costs incurred at San Joaquin Delta College are highlighted to facilitate easy recognition of the college's position within the rank ordering for each cost category. (JP) |
