Abstract | These programmed student texts for a secondary-postsecondary-level course for a materiel facilities specialist are one of a number of military-developed curriculum packages selected for adaptation to vocational instruction and curriculum development in a civilian setting. Purpose stated for the sixty-three-hour course is to provide knowledge in the physical handling of supplies and equipment, particularly in receiving, preparing for storage, storing, segregating, maintaining inventory, delivering, and preparing for shipment. The course consists of four subject matter blocks: Introduction (2 lessons, 5 hours), Data Processing (6 lessons, 12.5 hours), Storage Functions (7 lessons, 23 hours), and Materiel Processing (7 lessons, 23.5 hours). Printed teacher materials are limited to a course chart indicating lesson topics and instructional hours. Student programmed texts contain objectives, informative materials, review exercises, and answers. (YLB) |
