Abstract | This course of study in automotive body and fender repair is intended as a teaching and learning guide. The guide includes the following information and materials: the course philosophy, general course objectives, a plan of instructional practices, a list of curriculum materials, the course outline, and written instructional aids. The course outline contains an occupational description, a list of the major divisions of the occupation, a list of the skill competencies/operations that are required of the students, and a list of the information lessons which correspond to the skill competencies. The instructional aids comprise a major portion of the document and include the following materials: job sheets which indicate to the student what to do in performing the various jobs assigned by the instructor; operation sheets which supplement the job sheets and indicate how to perform the particular skill competencies necessary to complete the assigned job; information sheets which also supplement the job sheets and provide the information necessary for completing the assigned job with the highest possible degree of understanding; and assignment sheets which supplement the job sheets by providing mental activities or exercises related to the assigned job.
