| Abstract | This document reports individual State activities involving governance and administration of education. Data were collected from State departments of education, legislative service agencies, State school board associations and state offices of the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. States are identified by the official two-letter postal abbreviations. Reporting States are listed alphabetically with legislative citations of identifying words used after each State abbreviation. Each description of legislation begins with an indication of the status of the legislation as of May 1973. Other activity descriptions include the name and address of a person to contact for additional information. (Author/MJM) |
