Abstract	This paper investigates how education affects 1) the structure of beliefs toward social policies, defined as the correlation between attitudes in areas such as education, health, income redistribution, and social security, and 2) the relationship between that belief structure and vote on parties of different ideological affiliations. It is shown that the accumulation of schooling is associated with more structured attitudes. Moreover, in case of structured attitudes that gain an ideological content in favor/against social policies, it is only when schooling is high that these positions are strongly associated with voting for left/right parties. The analysis is based on opinion surveys conducted in 2016 in more than thirty countries. El objetivo de este artículo es investigar cómo la educación afecta 1) la estructuración de actitudes por políticas sociales, definida como la correlación entre actitudes en varias áreas - por ejemplo, educación, salud, redistribución del ingreso y seguridad social -, y 2) la relación de esta estructuración con el voto en partidos de diferentes filiaciones ideológicas. Se muestra que la acumulación de escolaridad aumenta la estructuración de actitudes y que, en caso de actitudes más estructuradas que adquieran un contenido ideológico a favor/contra políticas sociales, es solo cuando la escolaridad es alta que estas posiciones se asocian más fuertemente con el voto en partidos de izquierda/derecha. El objeto de análisis son las opiniones políticas y el comportamiento electoral recogidas de las encuestas de opinión realizadas en 2016 en más de treinta países.
