Abstract | With the sudden pandemic gripping our planet in 2020, it has caused many to reflect and ask: How did we get to this point and could our education have been more effective in preparing us for this moment in time? To begin to address this question there is a need to undertake a content analysis of the current Ontario provincial government position arising within the recent 2019 Ontario Health and Physical Education curricular document which includes directives associated with the determinants of Health within Ontario (Canada) Health and Physical Education. Determinants of health that relate specifically to disease are examined within the curriculum; which in many ways seeks to improve the Health literacy and well-being of all students. (Autor). |
