In recent years, hardly any initiative has received as much media coverage and discussions in the NPO sector as the initiative called "Effective Altruism" (EA), which is an ethical-philosophical approach and a social movement at the same time. The following article questions its utilitarian rationales as well as its realisation in well-known organisations such as GiveWell, and it shows differences from other forms of philanthropic engagement. |
