| Abstract | Professionalität und Professionalisierung von Lehrpersonen sind sowohl in Bildungswissenschaften als auch in Fachdidaktiken aktuell zentrale Themen. Sportdidaktische Studien greifen auf unterschiedliche professionstheoretische Ansätze zurück, die bislang jedoch noch unverbunden nebeneinanderstehen. Es fehlt im Diskurs an einer Meta-Theorie, anhand derer die unterschiedlichen professionstheoretischen Annahmen und empirischen Befunde aufei-nander bezogen und in einen kongruenten Zusammenhang gebracht werden können - sowohl zueinander als auch im Hinblick auf den domänenspezifischen Bildungsauftrag. Dieses Desiderat aufgreifend, stellt der Beitrag den Professionalisierungsansatz der Meta-Reflexivität vor und diskutiert den Mehrwert und die Konsequenzen seiner domänenspezifischen Auslegung für den sportdidaktischen sowie den bildungswissenschaftlichen Professionalisierungsdiskurs. (Autor). Professionalism and professionalization of teachers are currently central topics in both educational sciences and subject didactics. In the domain of physical education, studies draw on different professional-theoretical approaches, which have, however, so far not been linked to each other. The discourse lacks a meta-theory that would allow the different profession-theoretical assumptions and empirical findings to be related to one another and put into a congruent context - both with respect to each other and with respect to the domain-specific educational mandate. Taking up this desideratum, the paper presents the professionalization approach of meta-reflexivity and discusses the added value and consequences of its domain-specific interpretation for the discourse on professionalization in the domain of physical education and educational science.
