In the author's opinion aggression is an important and constructive part of communication when it is attached to a safe relation. Bonded with other affects, aggressive elements help to differenciate between the self and the other and between reality and fantasy. Therefore they can spread the intersubjective field and support symbolization. The biblical creation myth (Genesis 1-11) is considered to narrate the integration of aggression into the relation between god and mankind. |
