(Autorenreferat). Die Untersuchung enthält quantitative Daten. "The research project is aimed at integrating environmental and health aspects into mobility education at school. Project activities were the investigation of the experiences on 'Education for Sustainable Mobility' at home and abroad, the development of a consulting manual for schools and the compilation of a concept of mobility counselling which has been implemented at ten model schools. The concept 'Education for Sustainable Mobility' furthers the recommendations on mobility education at schools made by the conference of the ministers of education of the federal German states in 1994. They shifted the main focus from a sole road safety education at school to mobility education that includes besides safety also social, environmental and health education. The implementation of the recommendations made by the conference of the ministers of education in 1994 in the federal states was examined. It turned out, that the implementation is not yet completed area-wide. To many schools the concept of sustainable mobility is still unknown. Some elements of sustainable mobility however can be found in the curriculums of almost all federal states as well as in their offers for schools. Hamburg is furthest in the practical realization. We recommend the incorporation into the curriculums and the supply with interesting and attractive materials and the offer of further training to promote sustainable mobility at schools. Furthermore, the communication between the federal states should be improved to create synergetic effects." (author's abstract). |
